Sir Frank Whittle signed piece
Sir Frank Whittle signed piece WW3023 Great undedicated signature piece in the hand of the legendary Air Commodore Sir Frank Whittle (1907 - 1996) - the former RAF Officer and father of jet propulsion. In 1935 Whittle founded Power Jets Ltd and developed the first jet engine which America utilised at first with the Aircomet before the UKís Meteor. Whittle retired from the RAF in 1948 with the rank of air commodore. He was knighted in 1976 and went to work in the USA shortly afterwards, becoming a research professor at the US Naval Academy at Annapolis. He died on 9 August 1996. THIS AMAZING UNDEDICATED AUTOGRAPH OF WHITTLE HAS BEEN PRESENTED ALONG WITH A PHOTO AND A SMALL CARD DETAILING HIS DECORATIONS We can offer this for £250
