FULL SIZE TRAFALGAR MEDAL
A fantastic reproduction Battle of Trafalgar medal measuring 4.8cm in diameter. Originally struck by Matthew Boulton intended for presentation to the seamen and marines who took part in the action. Obverse features a uniformed bust of Lord Nelson with pigtail. Around are the words HORATIO VISCOUNT NELSON . K . B . DUKE OF BRONTE. &c. Reverse features a view of the battle, on a ribbon above feature the words ENGLAND EXPECTS EVERY MAN WILL DO HIS DUTY In exergue: TRAFALGAR/OCT.21. 1805. To the edge of the coins are the words TO THE HEROES OF TRAFALGAR FROM M. BOULTON.
