Air Force Cross reproduction medal
This medal is a reproduction mini Air Force Cross. Awarded to officers and warrant officers of the RAF, and instituted in 1918 for gallantry on non-operational missions and for meritous service on flying duties. Since the 1993 it was available to all ranks (the Air Force Medal having been discontinued) for non-operational gallantry in the air only (no longer for meritous service also).
The medal is 21mm wide and is made from lead-free pewter and silver plated. Overall size of presentation 8cm x 7 1/2cm The card has a colour painting of the Supermarine S.6. on the front and historical information on the back Cast from an original medal and presented on an information card.
A donation to charity is made by the producer for every medal sold.
