1911 Chicago Aviation Meet postcard with William Badger fatal crash illustration. Held at Grant Park 12 - 20 August 1911, the postcard from a visitor to the meet posted on 26/8/1911 one week after the meet. William Badger was killed in the Aircraft show. Badger was a student of Capt Baldwin and flew a new Baldwin machine at the meet. On 15th Aug he crashed while attempting to pull out of a dive. Message reads Thanks for PC Quite a sight hear last week had a great time dated 22/8/11 with Chicago CDS postmark with Canal Station slogan.
